Power strips

Power strips are extension cords containing approximately 3 to 8 mains sockets allowing multiple consumers to be plugged into a single mains socket. Compared to normal extension cords, power strips have an illuminated switch that allows you to quickly and easily cut the current to all consumers. Depending on the version, the power strips may also have a built-in fuse and a mains surge arrester to protect consumers from the effects of lightning. The versions available differ in the number of mains sockets and their positioning, as well as the length of the mains cable.
